Data, Permissions and Reports
वर्शन:
1. What stays on the device?
Drawings, drafts, worlds and recorded sounds are stored in the app’s area on the device. Drawing recognition runs locally. Parent settings, age band, permission records and play-time summaries are also stored locally. PEKO accounts, cloud sync and community sharing are not enabled in the current release. If the separate optional AI 3D feature is offered and connected by a parent, a selected drawing can be sent to that provider; this differs from local recognition.
Device files depend on operating-system protections. A parent code restricts access to an app area; it does not encrypt drawings or backup files. Protect the device lock and exported files separately.
2. Microphone, camera and sharing
Microphone: optional, to attach your own sound to a drawing. The parent-area microphone setting and operating-system permission both apply. Refusing permission prevents recording; other drawing features continue. Recordings can contain personal information; do not record others without permission.
Camera: used for AR on supported devices. Refusing camera access does not prevent core drawing. Saving or sharing an AR photo creates an additional copy; check its recipient. The camera feed is not continuously uploaded to PEKO servers.
Files and sharing: world backup import/export or the device share sheet works with the file/recipient you choose. Backups can contain drawings and personal audio. A locally created PEKO backup is not an automatic cloud upload unless you separately share it. Operating-system backup may work independently.
Change operating-system permissions under your device’s Settings → PEKO. Turning off permission does not automatically erase copies already saved or shared.
3. Error and performance reports
Manage these under Parent area → Info → Reports and usage data. In the current configuration, diagnostics starts enabled after initial setup and acceptance are completed; you can turn it off. Processing may include crash/error details, performance summaries, memory warnings, app/operating-system version and device class.
Diagnostics is not designed to submit drawings, audio recordings, photos, names or account content; the code attempts to remove these from reports. This does not mean that no personal information, such as network IP addresses, is processed. Crash reports may go to Sentry and enabled first-party measurements to PEKO infrastructure. See the privacy policy for details and retention differences.
4. Usage statistics
Usage statistics starts off and has a separate opt-in. It counts steps such as a first drawing or starting play. A random installation identifier is used; it is not an advertising or hardware identifier. Because it can associate events within one installation, it is not described as absolutely anonymous. Turning statistics off removes this local identifier and stops new statistics submissions.
First-party event retention is calculated from receipt on the server; records older than 90 days are removed through scheduled cleanup. Turning diagnostics/statistics off does not immediately erase earlier server records. Read the main privacy and deletion documents for rights and deletion requests.
5. Local device measurements and error log
The local device measurement screen can write frame timings and observed memory values into a local report to help understand performance. That report contains no drawings, audio or persistent device identifier and is not sent automatically. The local error log and recognition summary can also be inspected on the device. If you email a report, it becomes part of support correspondence; remove unnecessary information first.
Computer/simulator results are not the same as physical phone/tablet performance. A measurement describes only its recorded session and conditions.
6. Backup, deletion and control
When operating-system backup is enabled, the drawing/world database may enter iCloud or Android backup. The app is configured to exclude audio, exports, trash, diagnostics and security settings from that automatic backup; a world backup you create yourself can include audio. Manage the backup account and retention choices separately in Apple/Google settings.
Archiving a world is not permanent deletion. Local 30-day trash cleanup runs while the app is running; deletion on the exact day while the device is off is not guaranteed. On iOS, offloading can keep data; use Delete App for full removal. Removing app data does not erase external files or provider copies.
See the deletion guide for steps, the AI privacy notice for AI 3D and support and contact for questions.
